Is Productivity Linked To Wages? An Empirical Investigation in Malaysia

摘要: This study investigates the relationship between real wages, labor productivity and unemployment in Malaysia at macroeconomic level, using time-series econometric techniques. The found a long-term equilibrium but that was apparently unconnected to system. results suggested is positively related wage long run. However, increase exceeds causing an unit cost. In addition, positive causal flow from wages short-run supporting marginal theory.
