摘要: The purpose of this paper is to complement the characterisation patient-specific carotid artery bifurcation haemodynamics based on image data obtained by Doppler ultrasound imaging. A methodology for 3D luminal surface reconstruction followed structured hexahedral meshing volume and blood flow simulation presented. Quantitative descriptors wall shear stress (WSS) are used compare healthy stenosed haemodynamic disturbances. Independently presence stenosis, internal has been identified as a region abnormal high values oscillating index relative residence time low averaged WSS. For bifurcation, WSS manage capture disturbances at external artery. This work addresses lack quantitative analysis anatomically realistic bifurcations.
