摘要: Abstract Objective The aim was to assess sex-specific differences in N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) regarding concentrations, predictors of high and prognostic role, a large unselected population with chronic heart failure (HF) preserved (HFpEF), mid-range (HFmrEF), reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Methods results In 9847 outpatients HFpEF, HFmrEF, HFrEF (49 vs. 35 25% females, respectively) from the Swedish HF Registry, median NT-proBNP concentrations were 1598 ng/L females 1310 ng/L males 1764 1464 ng/L 2543 2226 ng/L (p Conclusion Concentrations higher across EF spectrum, larger relative HFpEF sinus rhythm. However, similar levels observed both sexes. There no sex-differences role NT-proBNP. These findings support use for purposes HF, regardless sex.
