摘要: Abstract This paper focuses on developing a highway noise barrier prototype mainly composed of bottom ash from the traditional pulverised coal combustion at semi-industrial scale, following simple and low-cost manufacturing procedure similar to that used cast commercial concrete barriers. In order obtain good sound absorption coefficients, multilayer product was designed, with porous layer in incident face followed by finest material back layer. The characterisation recycled carried out accordance current European standard for road traffic reducing devices results have been compared specifications stated regulations. acoustic performance has evaluated determining coefficient airborne insulation reverberation room. Regarding non-acoustic performance, physical (open void ratio, unit weight), mechanical (compressive strength, Young’s modulus, flexural fracture energy, indirect tensile characteristic length, impact strength) fire resistance properties were determined. From obtained, can potentially be complies required according standards, reaches same category as other products application.
