摘要: Nanosized calcium carbonate (nano-CaCO3)-filled poly-L-lactide (PLLA) biocomposites were compounded by using a twin-screw extruder. The melt flow behavior of the composites, including their entry pressure drop, shear curves, and viscosity measured through capillary rheometer operated at temperature range 170–200°C rates 50–103 s−1. drop showed nonlinear increase with increasing stress reached minimum for filler weight fraction 2% owing to “bearing effect” nanometer particles in polymer matrix melt. roughly followed power law, while effect on was estimated Arrhenius equation. Hence, adding small amount nano-CaCO3 into PLLA could improve composite. POLYM. ENG. SCI., 52:1839–1844, 2012. © 2012 Society Plastics Engineers
