摘要: Effect of intercritical heat treatment on 0.14wt%C 0.56wt%Mn 0.13wt%Si structural steel has been investigated. Specimens for single quenching and those double were prepared treatment. The the experimental was based annealing in ferrite + austenite temperature range Fe-C phase diagram at temperatures 745 o C,755 C, 765 775 785 795 C 805 1 hour each a laboratory muffle furnace followed by plain water to room temperature. subjected above route once while twice. Afterwards specimens that separately tempered 200 cooled still air. results revealed eliminated yield strength, increased tensile strength hardness properties but decreased ductility notch impact toughness steel. Moreover, also produced greater increase than decrease Tempering quenched steels their properties. established conditions can be useful manufacturing high good ductile
