摘要: Reconciling conservation and livelihoods is a concern wherever forests are important in local people’s lives. We plead for engaging these people survey activities to clarify what them, as first step planning. This will help address their priorities gain guidance support interventions. paper presents the results of such with community Kwerba Mamberamo, remote little known part Indonesian Papua. Views were explored through interviews, scoring exercises, mapping field survey. Whereas small gardens provided most staple food, culture linked forest.
