摘要: Resonance is an important phenomenon in vibrating systems and, of nonlinear coupled oscillators, resonant interactions can occur between constituent parts the system. In this paper, out-of-unison resonance defined as a solution which components response are 90° out-of-phase, contrast to in-unison responses that normally considered. A well-known physical example whirling, taut cable. Here, we use normal form technique obtain time-independent functions known backbone curves. Considering model cable, approach used identify and it demonstrated corresponds whirling. We then show how other two degree-of-freedom oscillators. Specifically, in-line oscillator consisting masses connected by springs—a type system where has not previously been identified—is shown have specific parameter regions occur. Finally, demonstrate curve analysis be predict forced systems.
