摘要: Cell death is a developmental fate that commonly observed during invertebrate and vertebrate neurogenesis. In many cases, these deaths appear to be ‘programmed', i.e. they occur predictably at specific times places. How such programmed cell are determined why have long intrigued neurobiologists. Here, we consider some recent papers describing how incorporated into neural strategies in three phyla.
