摘要: Abstract Background Previous studies have reported important roles of endothelin-1 (ET-1) and angiotensin II (Ang II) in the pathogenesis atherosclerosis. However, expression these two proteins underlying mechanisms human atherosclerotic coronary arteries are largely unknown. Methods We examined ET-1 Ang pericardial fluid from 25 individuals (n=25) using enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) immunohistochemistry. Twelve patients died acute syndrome were classified as plaque group (AP group) (n=12), while 13 other causes non-AP (n=13). Meanwhile, we performed reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) to measure six microRNAs targeting formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded arteries.
