Effect of Water Vapor on Sulfur Distribution Between Liquid Fe and MgO‐Saturated Slag Relevant to a Flash Ironmaking Technology

摘要: As part of research to develop a novel flash ironmaking process using natural gas or hydrogen reduce iron ore concentrate, sulfur distribution between MgO-saturated slag and was determined in the temperature range 1550–1650 °C under three different atmospheres: H2/H2O, H2/H2O/CO/CO2, CO/CO2. The ratios (LS) were 4.0, 2.0, 0.8, respectively, these atmospheres. In over ≈25 wt% S volatilize during concentrate downward flight reactor shaft addition avoiding coke. Therefore, content produced by will be much lower than that hot metal BF.
