摘要: The importance of anaerobic free-living phagotrophic protists has gained renewed attention following the discovery an unexpectedly high diversity in anoxic aquatic habitats. Here I attempt to illustrate physiology and trophic role compartments chemically stratified lakes. long-standing notion low productivity food webs is partly disputed, possibility aerobic metazoans that are able withstand anoxia acting as a link between primary production web briefly covered.
