Light quarks and instantons

摘要: Abstract Instantons and anti-instantons can profoundly influence the structure of a non-Abelian gauge theory involving N flavors massless quarks. Interactions quarks with these pseudoparticles spontaneously generate quark mass, break theory's SU(N) × chiral symmetry bind quark-antiquark pairs to form N2 − 1 Goldstone bosons. If generated mass is small, multipseudoparticle configurations be treated in dilute gas approximation.
