摘要: Cardiac action potential alternans and early afterdepolarizations (EADs) are linked to cardiac arrhythmias. Periodic potentials (period 1) in healthy conditions bifurcate other states such as period 2 or chaos when EADs occur pathological conditions. The mechanisms of have been extensively studied under steady-state conditions, but lethal arrhythmias often during the transition between steady states. Why tend develop is unclear. We used low-dimensional mathematical models analyze dynamical transient EADs. show that depending on route from one state another, may two periodic taken depends time course external perturbations intrinsic signaling, β-adrenergic stimulation, which regulate calcium potassium currents with differential kinetics.
