摘要: BACKGROUND: We conducted a cluster randomized trial of workplace mental health intervention in an Australian police department. The was co-designed and co-implemented with the Intervention elements included tailored literacy training for all members participating stations, leadership development coaching program station leaders. This study presents results mixed-methods implementation evaluation trial. METHODS: Descriptive quantitative analyses characterized extent participation activities, complemented by qualitative descriptive analysis transcripts 60 semistructured interviews 53 persons research team field notes. RESULTS: Participation rates multicomponent activities were highly variable, ranging from <10% to approximately 60% across stations. Approximately 50% leaders <50% troops completed component intervention. Barriers rostering challenges, high staff turnover changes, competing work commitments, shortages, limited internal personnel resources deliver training, organizational cynicism, confidentiality concerns, communication about command or champions. Facilitators also identified, including perceived need benefits intervention, engagement at various levels, team's ability create buy-in manage stakeholder relationships, use external, credible coaches. CONCLUSIONS: Implementation fell far short expectations. identified barriers facilitators should be considered design similar interventions.
