摘要: Abstract Objective: In this study, we assessed the temporal trends and relative attributable perinatal risks of maternal obesity over a 20-year period. Study Design: We conducted retrospective cohort study between 1980 1999 by using computerized database all women who received prenatal care delivered their infants within regional health system. The main outcome measures were as follows: (1) annual mean body weight percentage classified obese at first visit (primary definition ≥200 lb; secondary definitions ≥250 lb, ≥300 mass index >29 kg/m 2 ); (2) for selected morbidities in successive 5-year periods. Results: From to 1999, increased 20% (144-172 lb), did lb (7.3-24.4), (1.9-10.7), (0.5-4.9), with (16.3-36.4), P 90th percentile) gestational age (range, 1.8-2.2). earliest period (1980-1984) most recent (1995-1999), obesity-attributable cesarean deliveries more than tripled from 3.9 11.6. Similar increases observed diabetes (12.8-29.6) large (6.5-19.1). Trends similar, although magnitude was smaller. Conclusions: Efforts reduce frequency certain will be constrained unless effective prevent, or limit of, are developed implemented. (Am J Obstet Gynecol 2001;185: 845-9.)
