摘要: Ceramic prostheses are subject to sliding contact under normal and tangential loads. Accurate prediction of the onset fracture at two contacting surfaces holds key greater long-term performance these prostheses. In this study, building on stress analysis Hertzian considering criteria for linear elastic materials, a constitutive mechanics relation was developed incorporate critical load with geometry, coefficient friction material toughness. Critical loads necessary cause indenter were calculated from equation, compared predicted in conjunction measured frictionless contact—a semi-empirical approach. The major predictions models calibrated experimentally determined current future dental ceramics after rigid spherical slider. Experimental results conform trends by models.
