摘要: Background The purpose of this study was to clarify the anatomic characteristics and discuss clinical implications dural sheath trigeminal nerve, especially its compartmentalization. Methods The nerve microsurgically dissected in 8 formalin-fixed adult cadaver heads (16 sides). Results The is meningeal dura origin composed Meckel's cave peripheral sheaths. The a direct continuation cave, but separated from latter by cribriform area where rootlets pass through. Within sheaths, there are few septa, which frequently interrupted connections among rootlets.
