摘要: Superantigens and genetic factors may play roles in the etiology susceptibility to Kawasaki disease (KD). To investigate these roles, percentages of TCR-Vβ2+ T cells were compared by flow cytometry using anti-Vβ2 monoclonal antibodies genotyping was done on HLA-DRB1 exon 2, -308 site TNF-α promoter re- gion, ITPKC SNP rs28493229 polymerase chain reaction followed direct sequencing. There higher Vβ2+ T-cells KD patients (9.5 ± 2.15%) healthy controls (7.25 1.48%) (P<0.05, Student's t-test, n=6-8/group). However, no polymorphisms observed 2 region promoter. The G/C polymorphism 1 patient 4 controls. This study suggests that be associated with a superantigen exon2, not KD. is first inves - tigating candidate genes involvement among Filipino patients.
