摘要: Abstract Surface combustion of premixed methane/air mixtures within and near the downstream surface a porous matrix burner were experimentally investigated. The experiments included measurements radiant flux, temperature, gas stable species concentrations. Particular attention was given to burned temperature profiles in order define flame zone, compare its position with that predicted by theoretical model utilizes large-activation-energy asymptotic methods. Although most methane is combusted (∼ 90%) medium, maximum rate heat release found occur at, or just outside, surface. Prompt thermal NO formation modeled, vast majority be formed prompt-NO mechanism.
