摘要: Publisher Summary During development of the nervous system, neuronal processes grow out in a spatially and temporally highly coordinated fashion to produce final, functional pattern connections. This chapter describes putative involvement oligodendrocytes myelin as non-permissive substrates for neurite growth. Analyzing cellular components white matter their substrate properties, it is found that differentiated represent adhesion sympathetic, sensory or retinal neurons, neuroblastoma cells 3T3 fibroblasts. Myelin, product oligodendrocytes, when isolated adsorbed tissue culture dishes likewise inhibited outgrowth fibroblast spreading. The biochemical analysis effect CNS shows associated with two defined protein bands having characteristics membrane proteins. concludes could be refractory growth due presence specific oligodendrocyte exerting effects. Because, these effects cannot overcome by high doses stimulators fiber culture, can postulated nonpermissive molecules also play an important role lack regeneration higher vertebrates vivo . possible roles components, example during development, remain investigated.
