摘要: The authors investigated the temperature dependence of noise in thin-film DC superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDS) down to 20 mK. white measured early versions SQUIDS did not decrease as bath was lowered below 150 have attributed this saturation a hot electron effect AuCu resistors shunting Josephson junctions. A theoretical investigation showed that electrons shunts should be given by T/sub e/=(P/ Sigma Omega )/sup 1/5/, where P is power dissipated shunts, shunt volume, and proportionality constant. Experimentally, found epsilon =(2.4+or-0.6)*10/sup 9/ WK/sup -5/ m/sup -3/. were redesigned, adding large cooling fins, increase their volume substantially. This technique has reduced e/ about 50 mK, with corresponding improvement sensitivity SQUIDS. >
