Hormonal changes associated with long distance exercise

摘要: The alteration in plasma concentration of a number hormones was investigated following an 80 km endurance ride. A marked rise cortisol levels occurred all 17 animals investigated. Although decreased glucose did not occur animals, insulin fell horses examined. high correlation (r = 0.89) found between post ride and concentrations. both noradrenaline adrenaline were significantly elevated
