摘要: HTTP proxies serve numerous roles, from performance enhancement to access control network censorship, but often operate stealthily without explicitly indicating their presence the communicating endpoints. In this paper we present an analysis of evidence proxying manifest in executions ICSI Netalyzr spanning 646,000 distinct IP addresses ("clients"). To identify employ a range detectors at transport and application layer, report detail on extent which they allow us fingerprint map likely intended uses. We also analyze 17,000 clients that include novel proxy location technique based traceroutes responses TCP connection establishment requests, provides additional clues regarding purpose identified web proxies.
