摘要: AbstractBest practice mine closure planning and environmental impact assessment (EIA) principles share many common features. This research examined how relates to, can be integrated with EIA by comparing in eight African Australian jurisdictions. Emphasis was placed on key challenges opportunities associated with: institutional arrangements for planning; financial mechanisms site rehabilitation including abandoned/legacy sites; transparency of financing provisions; regulation artisanal small-scale mining activity.
