Computed tomography of the body: initial clinical trial with the EMI prototype.

摘要: A review of the first 400 cases examined on one three prototype EMI body scanners is presented. During initial evaluation phases, it became obvious that computed tomography has tremendous potential in various organs and disease states. The technique been most useful evaluating patients with known or suspected abdominal neoplasm, particularly lesions liver, pancreas, retroperitoneum, kidney. Too few have studied to realistically quantitate its impact total field medical diagnostic imaging.
