摘要: Objective In November 1991 the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice (ACIP) recommended universal hepatitis B immunization of infants. February 1992 American Academy Pediatrics (AAP) and in August Family Physicians (AAFP) issued similar recommendations. The purpose this study was to assess over time effectiveness impact dissemination efforts ACIP, AAP, AAFP regarding new recommendation determine factors affecting its adoption. Design Cohort survey time. Setting North Carolina. Participants All 778 pediatricians a random sample 300 family physicians Carolina were surveyed by mail 3 months after publication ACIP (January/February 1992), but before AAP Response rate 78%. Of these, 83% responded follow-up 8 later (October 1992). Main outcome measures Rates agreement adoption for infant with vaccine; recommendation. Results first (3 recommendation) more than aware (82% vs 48%), yet only 37% 23% agreed that all newborns their practice warranted. Eight later, recommendation, 66% 32% warranted, still 53% had adopted it into practice.
