摘要: The World Health Organization considers gender violence a cause of anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts among women. This study investigated the association between committed against women by their intimate partners, defined psychologically, physically sexually abusive acts, common mental disorders, assessed using Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). A population-based household survey was carried out aged 15e49 years in two sites: S~ Paulo, largest Brazilian city, Zona da Mata Pernambuco, region with both urban rural areas Northeast country. large proportion reported (50.7%). most frequent forms were psychological alone (18.8%) or accompanied physical (16.0%). prevalence disorders 49.0% who any type 19.6% those did not report (p < 0.0001).
