Petroleum charging and leakage in the BZ25-1 field, Bohai Bay basin

摘要: This paper discusses origin and charging histories of the Bozhong (渤中) 25-1 field (BZ25-1) in sub-basin, Bohai (渤海) Bay basin. Petroleum is contained both Paleogene Neogene reservoirs BZ25-1 field. The was studied using biomarker distributions for 61 source rock samples 34 oil samples. Oil derived from third member (Es3, 43.0–38.0 Ma age) Eocene Shahejie (沙河街) Formation, whereas a mixtures generated first (Es1, 35.8–32.8 Ma) Formation. Charging shallow dynamic, probably ongoing, which combined result existence active rocks, development overpressure fault reactivation since about 5.1 Ma. On contrary, deep experienced intensive leakage as indicated by high GOI (grains-containing-oil-inclusions) values (up to 30%) below present-day oil-water contact. Part that leaked re-accumulated reservoirs. variation origins within field, dynamic petroleum into have important implications exploration.
