摘要: Assessing and predicting ecosystem responses to global environmental change its impacts on human well-being are high priority targets for the scientific community. The potential synergies between remote sensing science ecology, especially satellite conservation biology, has been highlighted by many in past. Yet, two research communities have only recently begun coordinate their agendas. Such synchronization is key improving data effectively support future management decision-making processes. With this themed issue, we aim illustrate how integrating into ecological promotes a better understanding of mechanisms shaping current changes biodiversity patterns improves efforts. Added benefits include fostering innovation, generating new directions both disciplines development products.
