摘要: The decline in dental caries U.S. schoolchildren, first observed nationwide 1979-1980, was confirmed further by a second national epidemiological survey completed 1987. Mean DMFS scores persons aged 5-17 years had decreased about 36% during the interval, and, 1987, approximately 50% of children were caries-free permanent dentition. Children who always been exposed to community water fluoridation mean 18% lower than those never lived fluoridated communities. When some "background" effect topical fluoride controlled, this difference increased 25%. results suggest that has played dominant role and must continue be major prevention methodology.
