摘要: Abstract This study analyses the mixing and thermal fluctuations induced in a tee junction with circular cross-sections when cold water flowing pipe is joined by hot from branch pipe. configuration representative of industrial piping systems which temperature fluid may cause fatigue damage on walls. Implicit large-eddy simulations (LES) are performed for equal inflow rates corresponding to bulk Reynolds number Re = 39,080. Two different boundary conditions studied walls; an insulating adiabatic conducting steel wall boundary. The predicted flow structures show satisfactory agreement literature. velocity fields (including high-order statistics) not affected heat transfer However, at same between solid, showing that solid cannot be knowledge alone. analysis turbulent statistics provides better understanding turbulence features. In particular, budgets kinetic energy variance allows comparative dissipation, production transport terms. It found term important acts balance production. We therefore use priori tests evaluate three models triple correlation.
