摘要: Grain charging in collision dominated plasmas is investigated. The transition from a thin collisionless region around the grain, li(e)≪a, to thick one, li(e)≫a, studied under assumptions li(e)≪λD and a≪λD, where li(e) ion (electron) mean free path, grain radius, λD plasma screening length. It also assumed that no ionization recombination occur vicinity of grain. With these assumptions, analytical model constructed, expressions for electron fluxes surface are derived, charge obtained their balance. results then compared with available experimental results. behavior number densities briefly discussed.
