摘要: Nitrite inhalants have become popular as recreational drugs among the homosexual population in some developed countries since 1980s. These drugs, also called RUSH China, attractive Chinese men who sex with (MSM) past few years. The aim of this cross-sectional study was to understand knowledge, attitude, and status nitrite inhalant use MSM. participants were recruited from Tianjin, China between April August 2012. Among familiar RUSH, 60.0% heard for first time after 2011, 55% received information about via internet, only 42.2% side effects RUSH. users more likely work companies (Odds ratio [OR]: 2.61; 95% CI: 1.65–4.12), live partners (OR: 1.88; 1.19–2.92), not alone 2.26; 1.29–3.96), smoke cigarettes 1.49; 1.02–2.17), alcohol 1.63; 1.12–2.39), seek on internet 2.59; 1.50–4.50). impact abuse expanding HIV epidemic MSM has been demonstrated China. Our findings suggest communication awareness health hazard should be reinforced prevention education, especially new media. Future research is needed further explore how integrative strategies reduce substance risky behaviors.
