摘要: A composite of Ti-25Al-13Nb (atomic percent) matrix with a continuous SiC fiber (SCS-6) reinforcement was fabricated by hot pressing powder cloths and mats fiber. The fiber/matrix reaction zone studied using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) transmission microscopy/analytical (TEM/AEM) techniques. extent determined, phases were identified, solute partitioning among the determined. It found that had reacted only portion carbon-rich outer layer SCS-6 contained two concentric zones which are distinguished presence different carbide phases. Both hexagonal Si-bearing phase, one also some fine scattered porosity. results discussed reference to available phase equilibria data.
