摘要: The impact of sirolimus on hormone levels involved in the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonad axis male heart transplant recipients was investigated. A pair-matched analysis with 132 either based- or calcineurin inhibitor-based immunosuppression performed. Matching criteria were age, years after transplantation and creatinine levels. Measured parameters testosterone, luteinizing (LH), follicle stimulating (FSH), sexual hormone-binding globulin (SHBG) free androgen index (FAI). Mean testosterone 3.86 +/- 1.41 ng/mL group 4.55 1.94 controls (p = 0.025). Serum LH 12.82 11.19 mlU/mL patients 6.2 5.25 0.015). Follicle 13.31 18.4 vs. 7.32 5.53 mlU/mL, respectively revealed a significant decrease increase FSH group. duration treatment correlated positively SHBG < 0.01), 0.05) negative FAI 0.05). Sirolimus trough 0.01). Heart treated significantly lower gonadotropic hormones. These effects trough-level dependent. All candidates awaiting organ should be informed about these adverse effects.
