摘要: The effect of varying concentrations ethylene-diamine-tetra-acetic acid (E.D.T.A.) (dipotassium salt) and heparin on the estimation packed cell volume has been studied using a microhaematocrit method. Varying E.D.T.A. can produce serious errors in (P.C.V.) reliable results are only obtained within range 1 to 2 mg./ml. Heparin is more suitable anticoagulant for this investigation as concentration little effect. Storage with either at 24 hours room temperature influence results.
