摘要: Gastric cancer is the second leading cause of death in world and Japan. Due to relatively silent aggressive nature this tumor, most patients present with advanced disease few therapeutic options. To address epidemic incidence gastric Japan, nationwide screening programs are place have led early diagnosis coined term “Early Cancer” or EGC. not nearly as prevalent USA it but even so 10% Retrospective studies coupled long outcome data suggest that lymph node involvement majority these mucosal based cancers negligible. This makes endoscopic resection for EGC an attractive option. The two popular techniques Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) Submucosal Dissection (ESD). chapter describes proper staging reviews EMR ESD along potential complications expected outcomes.
