摘要: MR-guided focused ultrasound is a new completely non-invasive treatment of fibroids utilising very high energy to specific point in the body which causes local heating and therefore thermal ablation. This whole process can be targeted guided by MR using online mapping compatible equipment. The procedure carried out conventional scanner as an outpatient with minimal complications conscious sedation. No inpatient admission required patients return work within 24 hours little associated pain other morbidity. More than 5000 cases around world have now been this approach substantial success. chapter describes details inclusion exclusion criteria side effects rates success current
