摘要: Like many small-scale fishing communities around the world, community of Buen Hombre in Dominican Republic is dealing with a set challenges to reconcile its activities ecology on which it depends. Also like such communities, this case has been examined at particular period time by group social scientists, but not over substantial lengths order examine longitudinal validity conclusions made during period. In paper we combine data from previous anthropological work our own primary and ecological conduct study fishery. Our over-time comparison focuses suite mostly institutional variables explain what find be continued degradation fishery, conclude analysis presenting causal-loop diagram, summarizing inferences regarding complex interactions among these variables. We that mix factors, notably changes gear sites used, number fishermen their livelihood diversity, as well an increased connectivity between external environment, have contributed decline condition coral reef discussion may lie ahead for others it.
