摘要: Abstract Herpesvirus hominis (HVH) type 2 meningoencephalitis, confirmed by isolation of the virus from cerebrospinal fluid and brain biopsy specimens, Is described in a 44 year old man following renal transplantation. An HVH genital infection developed two weeks after transplantation, which was followed meningoencephalitis 10 days later. Subsequently an intracerebral hemorrhage with evidence diffuse vasculitls on arteriography. In second transplant patient similar clinical syndrome also infection, but viral studies were not made to confirm etiology meningoencephalitis. has been recognized as cause mucocutaneous diseases recipients transplants, involvement central nervous system reported.
