摘要: Recent years have witnessed striking discoveries in the genetics and biochemistry of nitrogen fixation, it is likely that new exciting findings will be forthcoming next decade. Nevertheless, my contention that, notwithstanding far greater understanding we now about certain traits nitrogen-fixing bacteria blue-green algae (cyanobacteria), research moving a direction only modest impact on increasing amount fixed agricultural land. These studies are largely concerned with fixation those ancillary physiological processes an effect such as energetics enzyme regulation. However, ecosystems rarely limited because absence highly active microorganisms. This point has often been stressed by individuals practical aspects but seems to forgotten under weight voluminous literature organisms.
