Nondestructive testing technique combining ultrasonic Lamb waves and double-pulse TV holography

摘要: The combination of ultrasonics with optics has led to the development emergent technologies for nondestructive testing outstanding capabilities. In this work we describe a that, in our knowledge, was up now unexplored, directed detection cracks and other types flaws metallic plates medium thickness (several millimeters). We selected special kind surface acoustic waves, i.e. Lamb explore volume search flaws, while whole field interferometric technique, namely double-pulse TV holography, is employed generate map displacements which signature defects can be seen as perturbation initially smooth wavefronts. Several examples artificially generated are presented.
