Social media for openness and accountability in the public sector: Cases in the Greek context

摘要: This paper explores the use of government social media for opennessand accountability. The extant literature has highlighted benefits in this context to enhance citizen participation and engagement in decision-making policy development, facilitate openness transparency efforts, reduce corruption. Yet, there are limited studies that discuss those properties can afford accountability, their implications practise. To address these gaps, a study is conducted Greek using interviews with top managers, makers, relevant stakeholders across five initiatives. We distinct affordances propose inclusion as building blocks national ICT Finally, we provide lens practise, limitations future research avenues.
