摘要: Abstract The etiological spectrum of viral hepatitis and the prevalence serological markers A B virus infection in healthy persons north India were studied. Hepatitis was found to be most common cause acute children (67%). It a less frequent this disease adults (14%). only rarely (12%) subacute (4%) liver failure. recorded as agent an epidemic among schoolchildren. Exposure occurs early childhood, by age 10 years, 90% have evidence infection. Hepatitis non-A non-B 44% 24% with disease. This also important failure (55%) hepatic (51%). all epidemics general population. Only 9% cases due whereas 42% attributable virus. causative 33% 45% The carrier rate for 5% antibody surface antigen up 38% specific population groups.
