摘要: The mixing process in biogas plants is fundamental for effectiveness. Unfortunately, difficulties at full scale mean that research must usually be performed lab-scale and the results up-scaled. This study presents a scale-up strategy fluid flow shear-thinning non-Newtonian fluids. Dimensional analysis was applied to connect influencing parameters, i.e., geometric dimensions, rotational speed, rheological properties, key figures. By using Reynolds Hedstrom number, standards adapting speed properties were defined as function of scale. A sliding-mesh model selected numerical simulations plant with paddle agitator two different scales. approach leads similar velocity fields, which result equal normalized times.
