摘要: Introduction: Cervical intraepithelial lesions due to HPV infection are common in Brazil. An understanding of the mechanisms interaction between and host factors is still incomplete. In spite high incidence cervical cancer Brazil, such studies with Brazilian patients scarce. The purpose this study was correlate presence high-risk types expression p53 protein, grade lesion, age, sexual behaviors smoking. It also intended establish whether might be useful as a marker for CIN progression. Methods: detection performed on paraffin sections using biotin-labeled probes by situ hybridization. protein evaluated immunohistochemistry. Results: Seventy-eight dysplasia were included study. 1 diagnosed 38 cases, 2+3 40 cases. High-risk detected 42 patients. No correlation found lesion or smoking, behavior. Expression significantly higher 1, compared 2+3, but did not status. Conclusion: Higher early supports hypothesis partially protective role wild-type stages lesions.
