摘要: Data centers are often under-utilized due to over-provisioning as well time-varying resource demands of typical enterprise applications. One approach increase utilization is consolidate applications in a shared infrastructure using virtualization. Meeting application-level quality service (QoS) goals becomes challenge consolidated environment application needs differ. Furthermore, for multi-tier applications, the amount resources needed achieve their QoS might be different at each tier and may also depend on availability other tiers. In this paper, we develop an adaptive control system that dynamically adjusts shares individual tiers order meet while achieving high data center. Our developed classical theory, used black-box modeling overcome absence first principle models complex systems. To evaluate our controllers, built testbed simulating virtual center Xen machines. We experimented with two center: two-tier implementation RUBiS, online auction site, Java TPC-W. results indicate proposed able maintain meets spite varying from
