摘要: Abstract Background The EC-funded EuroPrevall project examined the prevalence of food allergy across Europe. A well-established factor in occurrence is primary sensitization to pollen. Objective To analyse geographic and temporal variations pollen exposure, allowing investigation how these influence incidence allergies Europe. Methods Airborne data for two decades (1990–2009) were obtained from 13 monitoring sites located as close possible survey centres. Start dates, intensity duration Betulaceae, Oleaceae, Poaceae Asteraceae seasons examined. Mean, slope regression, probability level (P) dominant taxa (%) calculated. Trends considered significant at P < 0.05. Results On a European scale, particular Betula, most folds higher than Poaceae, greater five Oleaceae Asteraceae. Only Reykjavik, Madrid Derby was pollen, Thessaloniki. Weed (Asteraceae) never dominant, exposure accounted >10% total only Siauliai (Artemisia) Legnano (Ambrosia). Consistent trends towards changing or not observed, possibly with exception (not significant) decreased Artemisia increased Ambrosia. Conclusions This first comprehensive study quantifying major allergenic families These can now be used studies into patterns foods.
