摘要: Abstract Three different methods have been used to determine the rate at which an individual bacteriophage T4 DNA polymerase molecule moves when synthesizing on a single-stranded template chain. These agree in suggesting vitro for this enzyme of about 250 nucleotides per second 37 °C. This is close replication forks move vivo (about 500 second). Comparison with overall amount synthesis seen reactions reveals that only small fraction molecules present are any one time. explicable terms limited processivity these reactions, along its capacity non-productive binding molecules.
